Welcome to the Website of Linda Rae Music and entertaining have always been a big part of my life. More recently, a new found friend led me to Nashville singer/songwriter Karen Taylor-Good. After working with Karen at a workshop, she said that I had what it took to become a great writer and to go for it. SO, I did!Karen Taylor-Good led me to Beaird Music Group in Nashville for my recordings. Larry Beaird plays on many of my songs. He has worked for several popular artists such as Randy Travis, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, and was a 2004 nominee for an Academy of Country Music award for guitarist of the year. I also record in Nashville with Duane Sciacqua, a talented guitarist/producer/songwriter. Duane played guitar with Glenn Frey (of The Eagles) and has also played with Paul McCartney and currently with Rodney Atkins. It's a great thrill and pleasure of mine to work with such talented musicians! You have probably noticed some Appalachian Mountain music if you've had time to do some listening to "Faith Songs". My husband and I have been involved in a service organization called Appalachia Service Project (ASP) for about 12 years now. We and a group of youth and adults go down to the Appalachia Mountain region for a week every summer to help families repair their homes. The warmth and dedication of the people that I have met in the Appalachia region will always remain close to my heart. "Appalachia", and "Build upon the Rock" are about my ASP experiences. "Faith Songs" includes "America's Comin' Through". I wrote this song when my nephew was in Iraq. It’s about the endless efforts of Americans to help, not only in the service, but with natural disasters. My "Family Songs" CD has arrived and is available! The first two songs on this CD are perfect for new parents, baby showers, baby dedications, and power point presentations of a child’s growth, which are being used at weddings. The tracks are included and were especially made enjoyable for baby’s naptime, or for dancing and singing. "Amigo, my Friend" is a song about pets and friendship. "Havin Fun" deals with growing up and how kids are enjoying the process, but for some parents it seems to go by too quickly. Lower elementary age kids actually sing along with me on the second part of the song. Thanks for checking out my songs!
