»” Gone Country? The Nashville music community can now count a Jonas Brother as a new member, and it’s not the one whom Taylor Swift called out in “Forever & Always.” According to the trio’s MySpace, Nick Jonas & The Administration was formed this year in Music City as a side project while Kevin was spending time with his fiancé and Joe was abroad. Nick calls on four musicians for the Administration as “guys that I had met and worked with before.” And while he hasn’t revealed who the players are or whether it’s country, he does say the music “is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul.” Hear the band’s first Nashville-produced project when it’s released in early 2010. “

Taylor Swift at Country Thunder in WI
I love all of the opportunities here in Wisconsin to see great country artists for a great price! Country Thunder in Twin Lakes has so many artists is four days that it is almost unbelievable. I could almost touch Rodney Atkins, Kelli Pickler, Jake Owen, and Heidi Newfield. Oh, I did touch Jack Ingram! Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, and TAYLOR SWIFT were super. TAylor put on a unique show—no surprise in that happening.

This was the 8th grade graduation song used in Union Grove, WI. It brought tears to my eyes! However, this was not the video that was presented with the song. It was a video of Dick and his handicapped son Rick. The determination of a father in making his son feel worthwhile, challenged, and happy was evident in this video, which I will include here, also.

It seems as though country songs are being used a lot at graduations this year. That’s super! A couple of weeks ago at my nephew’s high school graduation in Illinois, the mixed choir sang the Rascal Flatts’ song “My Wish”.
My Wish lyrics
I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you’re faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin’ till you find the window,
If it’s cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God’s grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

Wow, what a show!! For me, this was the best American Idol finale yet! With Kris and Keith Urban, Allison and Cindi Lauper, Danny and Lionel Richie, Adam and KISS, and even the Steve Martin song was good! Carrie Underwood, David Cook, the Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, and QUEEN…..Super show!
Eventhough Danny did not get American Idol, I hope he does well record wise. Congratulations to Kris! I thought he would get Idol between the remaining two. I think Adam will do well anyway.
So, who is going to see the Idol Tour??
