What a night! I got my wish. There are several really different contestants this year: from Danny and Matt, two males, singing Carrie Underwood songs and singing them well, to Adam, the “boy toy”, singing a “metal” version of “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash! Just where does he get the ideas to do a song like that?? Megan has such an individual old-fashioned voice. I just can’t place who she sounded like tonight singing “Walking After Midnight”. AND, Anoop singing the Willie Nelson song “You Were Always on My Mind” was actually very good. Wow, what a show! I want to watch it again!
Keep going Danny from Milwaukee!! So what do you think ? Are his glasses all for show or does he need them to see? Whatever, he can really sing!
Randy Travis did a great job as a mentor for the contestants. I saw him sing at a church in Milwaukee. He is so moving. I actually record at the same studio in Nashville where he did “Three Wooden Crosses”. I love that song.
